We’re happy so far with how Misty Peaks, Rapid Diffusion, and the return of Dancing Mist have been received and we’re glad to see many players feeling much the same way. Our intent is for spreading Renewing Mist to feel rewarding and powerful. Players can expect a few nodes that may have felt like blockers to swap positions and additional connections to facilitate this in future builds. We were overall pleased with the first iteration of this tree but are still looking to make improvements. The trick will be to find pathing that satisfies both builds without removing options or build diversity. Our intent is for both builds to feel as though they have options and reasons to explore throughout the tree.

We will be keeping an eye on this problem moving forward with spells such as Refreshing Jade Wind and Faeline Stomp. In future builds, we’re looking at increasing the cooldown and effect of Zen Pulse to make it feel more impactful while reducing rotational clutter. Zen Pulse has been the main offender in our eyes. Too many relatively low impact abilities on a short cooldown can lead to gameplay feeling rushed and overwhelming. Several pieces of the Monk and Mistweaver tree are adding options for active buttons on a short cooldown. The question “this spell has great synergy with this other spell, so why are they not placed next to each other?” can be answered: We want to maintain pathing tension, so that players feel engaged throughout the talent selection, as well as avoid certain talent combinations for balance purposes. This may result in some ability placement feeling counterintuitive. We want players to feel engaged with pathing throughout this tree and have reasons to explore a variety of options regardless of their build type. In the Mistweaver tree, our intent is for players to make compelling decisions between powerful abilities, particularly with their final points, in order to decide on their build. We’d like to address few topics that have come up regarding the new Mistweaver Talent tree. Edited July 8 by Madyrnīlizzard have addressed feedback and concerns regarding the Mistweaver Monk talent tree and general playstyle in Dragonflight, from the specific tree layout to rotational clutter, fistweaving and more. This is unfortunate for ElvUI as, regardless of any damage control efforts from Method, people will view this as an indictment of a great addon and it may lose a significant user base. It tells me there is little understanding of the situation all around. Either way, an addon, even one as heavy as Elvui, should not be that much of a burden unless your system is either already weak or, it is being taxed elsewhere.ĮDIT: Just looked at the tweet from Method and this stands out " Our decision is mostly based on some of our raiders sucking at addon config." Yeah, poor configs can cause unnecessary resource use. This just seems like a band-aid for a bigger problem that Method is choosing to not address or, possibly a misdiagnosis and incorrect solution being applied. If addons continue to be an issue after making graphical adjustments, then it comes down to hardware. If you can't play PvE due to FPS issues, graphics settings should be the first thing to address from a "soft" perspective. I find it hard to believe that FPS can be degraded so much on a MMORPG in PvE that an addon must be avoided.
#Elvui update wow code
There's also 0 reverse engineering needed to modify elvui, the source code is non-obfuscated, well commented and the actual developers seem to want to have an open source mod, so the policy of banning distribution of a modified addon is nonsensical.

Their position regarding "intellectual property" is also a brainlet one, Blizzard clearly states they have full rights to any mods, while ElvUI publishers state you cannot distribute a modified version of their addon, that looks like a contradiction to me, either you own it or someone else does.
#Elvui update wow mod
ElvUI is currently overloaded with "Quality of Life" features they stockpiled throughout all expansions and abstracts too much for the sake of sweeping the widest target audience.Īnother issue that you can only fix yourself (or "illegally" get a modified ElvUI version, why "illegally" explained in the next paragraph) is the update and status pings that elvui uses through mod channels, I personally run a modified ElvUI version that spams all connected players in guild/party with version updates as I set my version to something like 420.69, just to make life harder for anyone using ElvUI until someone finally notices this intrusive feature.
